These are the most fresh, delicious candied fennel seeds I have ever had. Inferior products can taste like perfume and artificial coloring. So much so, I stopped buying them. And they are packaged in cheap plastic that's been sitting around in all sorts of adverse conditions. Seeing these in their glass mason jar, looking so artisanal , I had to try them. I was not disappointed - and they were very effective for some intense heartburn I had last night. Do you know why these are sometimes found at the register at Indian restaurants? The clue is in the last paragraph, and, not only are they delicious, they are far less expensive and less dangerous than Zantac, et al. With a reserve of these beautiful seeds in my arsenal, I know I can eat whatever spicy foods I desire! If I can control myself from eating them like candy and remember they are medicine!

They have everything you need except for meat and fish. My go to place for Indian and middle eastern supplies. The frozen flat breads are awesome.

Wow! One the best Indian Grocery Store, I visited in USA till date. The Market have every basic Indian grocery or other related items that I need for our house. High quality utensils, organic cereals and spices and moreover the staff is very friendly they always ask for the help if you're unable to find anything and they know where the item is located. Very helpful staff, neat and clean environment. Properly fixed items. Anyone looking for nice Indian grocery store can try this one you'll find what you're looking for.

I'm so glad I found Lotus market on Fifth Avenue in San Rafael. They have absolutely everything you need for Indian cooking - tons of spices, pulses, rices, flours, plus a nice assortment of Ayurvedic and regular Indian self-care goods, and a lot of fun cookware, china, and home decor items. They also carry a good assortment of frozen foods and some fresh items like okra, curry leaves, eggplants, fresh turmeric etc...

Really good side business in the back of Lotus Cuisine. It has a great assortment of tasty Indian foodstuffs that you are hard pressed to find anywhere else in the North Bay. The owners of the shop can advise you on what to buy if you don't know.

I love Lotus! they have excellent super fresh curry leaves and Gopi paneer...my two main food staples. Can't make a meal without them! I love that they're always in stock and fresh--and I don't have to drive across a bridge to get them. (Ugh!) -- INCIDENTALLY -- I have done some excellent shopping for backpacking food here. This was a surprise! They have some superlightweight freeze dried kind of "ramenish" food cups that are great for vegetarian protein. On my last backpacking trip, the winning food items came from Lotus--again, a pleasant surprise! And so much cheaper and more pure (non GMO, even some organic) than the standard REI fare that's available for vegetarians...and...usually sold out. Walk around the store--see what they've got to entice you. They have a myriad of surprising options including some great organic stuff. I was sad when they closed the store further down 4th but now love this as it's closer to the freeway (easier to get to) and has its own parking. You can't go wrong at Lotus!
